Light
The Snake Plant ‘Moonshine’ prefers bright, indirect light but is highly adaptable to a range of lighting conditions. It will thrive near a sunny window but can also tolerate lower light areas, making it perfect for both homes and offices. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense, direct sunlight, which may cause leaf discoloration.
Water
Water sparingly and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. The ‘Moonshine’ variety, like other snake plants, is drought-tolerant and sensitive to overwatering. During the growing season (spring and summer), water every two to four weeks, and reduce watering in the cooler months. Always ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot.
Soil
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix. You can improve drainage by adding perlite or coarse sand to the mix. Avoid using heavy potting soil that retains too much moisture.
Temperature and Humidity
Snake Plant ‘Moonshine’ thrives in temperatures between 60 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. It prefers average household humidity and does not require misting. Keep it away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, or heaters to prevent stress on the plant.
Fertilizer
Feed lightly with a balanced, diluted houseplant fertilizer once every 4–6 weeks during the growing season. Avoid fertilizing during fall and winter when growth slows down.
