Light
Place your Dragon Bone Euphorbia in bright, indirect sunlight or full sun. It thrives with several hours of light each day. Indoors, a south- or west-facing window is ideal. If light is too low, growth may slow, and stems can stretch.
Watering
Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. When you do water, soak thoroughly and let all excess water drain away. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water, as this can cause root rot. During winter, reduce watering to once every few weeks.
Temperature and Humidity
This succulent prefers warm, dry conditions and grows best in temperatures between 65°F and 85°F. Protect from cold drafts and avoid exposure to temperatures below 50°F.
Soil and Potting
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix. Make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent excess moisture from collecting. Repot every 2–3 years in spring or early summer if the plant outgrows its container.
Fertilizing
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted cactus or succulent fertilizer. Do not fertilize in fall or winter when growth slows.
Pruning and Maintenance
Trim off any damaged or dead stems using gloves and clean tools. The plant produces a milky sap that can irritate skin, so handle with care and wash hands after pruning.
