  • Light

The Pickle Plant thrives in bright, indirect sunlight and can tolerate some direct morning or late-afternoon sun. Indoors, place near a sunny south- or west-facing window. If light is too low, the stems may stretch and lose their compact shape.

    Watering

Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water deeply until it drains from the bottom of the pot, then empty any excess water. Overwatering can cause root rot. In winter, reduce watering to once every few weeks.

    Temperature and Humidity

This succulent prefers warm, dry conditions and grows best in temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, or areas below 50°F.

    Soil and Potting

Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent standing water. Repot every 2–3 years in the spring if the plant becomes root-bound.

    Fertilizing

Feed once a month during spring and summer with a diluted succulent or cactus fertilizer. Do not fertilize during fall and winter when the plant is dormant.

    Pruning and Maintenance

Remove any dead or shriveled leaves as needed. The Pickle Plant naturally grows upright and may trail as it matures. Handle gently, as its stems are delicate.
